China's power shortage does not affect Vietnam's raw material supply

Sharing at a regular press conference in September 2021 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the afternoon of September 30, 2021, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry Nguyen Ngoc Thanh said that, in fact, the prices of some input materials for the electricity industry are also high. For example, China's emission reduction has caused a shortage of electricity, leading to a decrease in some industrial production, including raw material products that supply output to the market.

However, up to now, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has not received any feedback from enterprises about the lack of input materials.

 

In fact, we have been facing this since the first outbreak of the disease in 2020. The disruption of the supply of input materials from textiles, leather and footwear as well as products supplied to the industry. It has also been responded and gradually adapted by experienced businesses.

Besides, with the 3rd and 4th re-epidemic occurring in the past time, the capacity of domestic industrial production enterprises has also decreased since then, even there are enterprises in 19 provinces in the north. Nam has to stop working. Therefore, the current demand for input materials has not been clearly seen, and businesses have not mentioned this issue to state management agencies.

Deputy Director General Nguyen Ngoc Thanh affirmed: In the long term, some products, such as domestic steel products, can be completely met, such as construction steel, we are not worried about the problem of dependence on other products. your country.

Some other industries with short-term fluctuations like recent from China, at this time, it is not possible to assess the great impact on input materials of Vietnam. Therefore, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with businesses and associations to regularly exchange to review and reflect certain cases of input materials for businesses.
