With the goal of sustainable import and export with a balanced and harmonious structure; Promote competitive advantages and comparative advantages, develop reputable and quality products of Quang Binh, access and expand new markets and fields with potential in the supply chain and value chain. domestically and internationally, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province has issued a plan to implement the Goods Import-Export Strategy until 2030 of Quang Binh province.

In particular, it is required to maintain a stable import-export growth rate, focusing on promoting direct export of key products and advantageous products of Quang Binh, contributing to economic restructuring, promote the growing development of industrial production, agriculture and services. Strive to bring the province's total import-export turnover in 2024 to about 400 million USD, an increase of 8.1% compared to 2023, of which exports reach 220 million USD, imports reach 180 million USD.

The items selected to expand export scale are: Seafood, cassava starch, beans, and wooden products; garment products, fertilizers, cement, minerals...; Focus on improving quality and promoting the export of products with added value, high technology content, and environmental friendliness; Strengthen trade promotion activities, expand traditional markets, and seek new potential export markets for products of Quang Binh province.

To fully promote its role as a focal unit, Mr. Phan Hoai Nam - Deputy Director of Quang Binh Department of Industry and Trade said that the Department has assigned specific tasks to departments and units under the department, promoting their roles. initiative and positivity of the subjects assigned the task of implementation; Strengthen regular and effective coordination between the Department of Industry and Trade and relevant departments, branches, branches and localities to mobilize synergy to effectively implement plan contents; Focus on integrating and combining with programs and projects approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People's Committee to use resources economically and effectively.

According to a representative of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh, the tasks set to develop production and create a sustainable supply for export include: Advising and proposing mechanisms and policies to develop industrial production according to deep processing direction. Effectively implement planning to develop industrial clusters towards ecological and sustainable industrial clusters. Focus on supporting businesses to overcome difficulties (digital transformation, production development, finding export markets...). Guide and advise businesses, cooperatives, and production and business establishments to build trademarks and geographical indications specific to key products of Quang Binh (agricultural products, seafood, cassava starch , wood products; garment products, fertilizers, cement, minerals...). Promote and introduce products on e-commerce platforms; Connect online sales channels for typical rural industrial products, OCOP, and typical products of the province. Promote propaganda, information, guidance and support for businesses to effectively exploit free trade agreements, especially new generation FTAs such as the CPTPP Agreement; EVFTA; UKVFTA; RCEP,... to expand and diversify import and export markets.

Improving institutions and strengthening State management in the organization of import and export activities to facilitate the exchange and purchase of goods, combat trade fraud and move towards fair trade.
