Last week (November 27 - December 3), Vietnam's export price of 5% broken rice increased from 650 - 655 USD the previous week to 655 - 665 USD/ton. Export traders said that Vietnam's rice offering prices continue to stabilize and increase slightly due to limited domestic supply. Recently, thanks to promptly increasing production, rice exports have reached more than 7.7 million tons with a value of more than 4.4 billion USD, an increase of more than 16% in volume and more than 36% in value. Difficulties from the global economic downturn and decline in world demand, especially in the first months of the year, leading to a decrease in export orders, have affected the country's overall export results, so overall for the first 11 months of May. With the recovery in recent months, the export decline continues to narrow quite a bit compared to the 12% decline in the first half of 2023.

Therefore, in the coming time, to promote the export of goods, the Ministry of Industry and Trade determines to promote negotiations, sign new agreements, commitments, trade links, sign FTAs, and trade agreements. Trade with other potential partners (UAE, MERCOSUR...) to diversify markets, products, and supply chains.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade also promoted support for businesses to take advantage of commitments in FTA Agreements, especially CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVFTA Agreements to boost exports, through propaganda on rules of origin and issuance of Certificates of Origin, opportunities and ways to take advantage of opportunities from Agreements.
