Quang Nam: Green Chung Cake officially exported to the United States

After a period of negotiation and focusing on production, recently, a container carrying 10 tons of green banh chung from Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative (Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province) was released from the warehouse and on its way to the city . Ho Chi Minh City to complete customs clearance procedures and officially export to the US market to serve overseas Vietnamese to celebrate the nation's traditional Tet.

Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Thuy - Owner of Ba Ba Hoi Green Chung Cake brand, said that after researching, the partner agreed with Ba Ba Hoi to carry out a contract to make green Chung Cake to bring to the US to sell during Tet. Over the past several months, the business has invested in modern machinery, preparing materials and packaging for delivery. This batch of banh chung with more than 32,000 cakes was produced by more than 30 workers in 25 days with the main ingredients being Bau gourd sticky rice and Quang Nam green beans.

"In particular, banh chung is made with a strict quality assurance process according to the standards of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is officially exported," Ms. Thuy said.

Previously, in July 2023, Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative also coordinated with LNS Vietnam Import-Export Joint Stock Company to export 10 tons of Ba Ba Hoi poached scad for official export to the US market. Ms. Thuy added that, with the goal of introducing the unique culinary features of Quang Nam province to domestic and international people, Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative has invested, researched and developed home-grown products. . The products made not only meet domestic requirements but also meet strict standards to continue reaching out to the world.
