In which, the United States is Vietnam's largest export market with an estimated turnover of 28.4 billion USD. China is the second largest export market with 16.4 billion USD; followed by the EU with 13.7 billion USD; ASEAN 11.1 billion USD and Korea 7.8 billion USD; Japan $7.3 billion.

Regarding imports, in the first 4 months of 2023, Vietnam's merchandise import turnover was estimated at 102.22 billion USD, down 15.4% over the same period last year. In which, China is Vietnam's largest import market with an estimated turnover of 33.3 billion USD. Next is South Korea with 16.7 billion USD; ASEAN 13.4 billion USD; Japan 7.3 billion USD; EU $4.4 billion and US $4.1 billion.
Generally, in the first four months of the year, Vietnam's export turnover to the US was estimated at US$32.5 billion, while Vietnam had a trade surplus with the US of US$24.4 billion, down 23.6% over the same period last year. .
