Currently, every day, there are only 1-2 trucks carrying peeled boards in Lao Cai for export through Kim Thanh II International Border Gate.

It is known that for more than a month now, many import-export companies in Lao Cai have had to give their employees a rotational break to ensure the prevention and control of Covid-19, on the other hand, there are no goods to export to China. Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, an employee who opened customs declarations at Kim Thanh International Road Border Gate No. II, said: To ensure the prevention and control of Covid-19, the Chinese side temporarily stopped importing many items from Lao Cai. . Currently, our company mainly imports Chinese fruits for consumption in the domestic market.

The difficulty of export goods also makes the task of revenue collection of Lao Cai Customs difficult. By the end of August, the total import and export tax revenue in the province was 971.4 billion VND, reaching 55.9% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance (1,735 billion VND), reaching 51.1% of the target of the People's Council, Provincial People's Committee assigned (1,900 billion VND).
