On the morning of November 26, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province held a conference "Implement the plan to manage and monitor the code of the planting area and the code of the export packing facility in the province" to improve the responsibility of organizations and individuals involved in the sustainable development of the province's durian industry according to the scale of commodity production to meet the requirements of the importing country.

Attending the conference included leaders of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, leaders of a number of provincial departments, agencies and experts, scientists, representatives of businesses and cooperatives participating in exporting durian in the world. locality.

Dak Lak province strives to make the establishment, management, supervision and development of planting area codes and packaging facilities for export more practical and effective.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that the Protocol on phytosanitary regulations for Vietnamese durians exported to China was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development . Agriculture and Rural Development and the General Administration of Customs of China, after nearly 4 years of preparation efforts, are one of the great advantages for durian products of the whole country in general and Dak Lak province in particular to be officially exported into the country. The large Chinese market is an opportunity to organize the development of the durian industry in the direction of modernity, quality, safety, sustainability and close links from production to consumption. to improve the efficiency and raise the value of Vietnam's durian in the international arena.

However, this is also a big challenge because the contents of the Protocol are essentially technical requirements that manufacturers, packers and exporters must comply with. Dak Lak province has been approved by the General Department of Customs of China with 04 codes for durian packing facilities and 23 codes for growing areas (accounting for 45% of approved planting area codes nationwide), with an area of 1,500 ha (accounting for 10% of the total area). durian area of the province and accounts for 18.3% of the durian area for the province's harvest)
