Vietnam has a trade surplus of more than 6.5 billion USD in 9 months

The General Department of Customs said that in September, the total export value of Vietnam's goods was estimated at nearly $59 billion (down nearly 11% compared to the previous month). However, compared with the same period last year, the export value increased by more than 2.9 billion USD. In the first nine months, Vietnam's merchandise exports reached nearly US$290 billion, up 17.3% over the same period last year.

In the opposite direction, imports of goods in September reached nearly 29 billion USD, down 7.3% compared to September last year. Accumulated in the first 9 months of the year, imports were estimated at more than 270 billion USD, up 13% over the same period last year, bringing the total import and export value of the whole country in 9 months to nearly 560 billion USD (up by more than 15%). ).

Since the beginning of the year, Vietnam has had a trade surplus of more than 6.5 billion USD. This is a bright spot of Vietnam in difficult economic conditions when in the same period last year, Vietnam had a trade deficit of more than $3.4 billion.

Regarding budget revenue, in the first 9 months of the year, it reached more than 300,000 billion VND, reaching more than 93% of the assigned estimate, up nearly 15% compared to the same period last year.

 

According to the General Department of Customs, although economic activities have prospered, since the beginning of the year, there are still many new methods in smuggling, trade fraud, and illegal cross-border transportation of goods. subtle passage.

Customs authorities have arrested a total of more than 12,000 violations, the value of infringing goods is estimated at nearly 4,500 billion VND; State budget revenue reached more than 250,000 billion, of which the customs prosecuted 35 cases and transferred to other agencies to propose to prosecute 99 cases.
