Vietnam's exports are higher than Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia

According to statistics of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first eight months of 2022, the total import and export value of the country reached $499.71 billion, up 15.9% (corresponding to an increase of 15.9%). $68.69 billion) over the same period in 2021.

According to the Thai Ministry of Commerce, in the first 8 months of 2022, the import and export value of Thailand reached 407.03 billion USD. In which, export turnover reached 196.45 billion USD, up 11% over the same period and import turnover reached 210.58 billion USD, up 21.4% over the same period last year. Accordingly, Thailand had a trade deficit of 14.13 billion USD in the first 8 months of 2022.

Regarding the import and export situation of Indonesia in the first 8 months of the year, according to the Indonesian Statistics Office, the import and export value of Indonesia's goods reached about 383.44 billion USD. In which, export turnover reached 194.6 billion USD and import turnover reached 188.84 billion USD. Accordingly, Indonesia had a trade surplus of 5.76 billion USD in the first 8 months of 2022.

 

According to the Philippine Bureau of Statistics, the import and export value of Philippine goods is about 145 billion USD. In which, export turnover reached about 60 billion USD and import turnover reached about 90 billion USD. Accordingly, the Philippines has a trade deficit of 30 billion USD in the first 8 months of 2022.

In terms of commodity exports alone, Vietnam's export turnover is leading in the group of countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines in the first eight months of 2022. Following Vietnam is Malaysia, then Thailand. Lan, Indonesia and the Philippines.
