Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son province Nguyen Dinh Dai said that this unit has just notified the Departments of Industry and Trade of the provinces and cities about continuing to suspend the receipt of vehicles carrying fresh fruit to the road border gates of the province. Lang Son province for export.

Lang Son announced that it will extend the temporary suspension of receiving vehicles carrying fresh fruit products to the land border gate of this province for export to China until the end of March 5.

During the suspension period, if the customs clearance capacity at the border gate of Lang Son province is improved, the province will notify the adjustment.

Vehicles carrying fresh fruit into Lang Son province that have committed to domestic consumption (within Lang Son province) or going to other provinces will not be admitted to Lang Son province border gate for export during the temporary suspension. received according to the notice of the province.

Therefore, Lang Son proposed the Department of Industry and Trade of the provinces and cities that have fresh fruit products to export through Lang Son area to continue to widely inform businesses and traders to strictly implement the notification content about the this temporary stop.

Along with that, continue to deploy market connection, promote domestic consumption, focus on fruits and agricultural products that are in the harvest season; consider and guide enterprises to select and change modes of transport and export other than road such as waterways and railways in order to reduce the load on road border gates; promote trade promotion, expand export markets to other countries.

Information on the situation of customs clearance of goods at border gates of Lang Son province will be updated regularly and timely to coordinate and regulate export goods in accordance with reality, minimizing risks in business. .

In order to handle timely, not to cause export goods to be jammed in large quantities at the terminals, causing costs and damage to people and businesses, Lang Son province has directed the Provincial Police. continue to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Department of Transport in, implementing a plan to inspect and regulate means of transport of exported fresh fruit products to the locality.

The Management Board of the Dong Dang-Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, the Border Guard Command, the Customs Department, the functional forces at the border gate and the districts of Van Lang, Cao Loc and related units are responsible for coordinating with the Customs Department. The province will monitor, supervise and manage vehicles that have been committed to domestic consumption (Lang Son province) or to other provinces during the implementation of this notice.

The Provincial Market Management Department strengthens coordination with functional agencies to inspect and supervise vehicles committed to domestic consumption; strictly handle violations according to regulations.

The Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son province said that on February 12, the unit sent a document to the Department of Industry and Trade of the provinces and cities to temporarily stop receiving vehicles carrying fresh fruit to the road border gate of Lang Son. For export, the implementation period is from February 16 to the end of February 25, but every day there are about 50 trucks carrying fruits into Lang Son for the reason of domestic consumption or bringing to the border gate of Cao Bang province for export. to China.

In fact, these vehicles stopped and parked around the area of Lang Son city to wait for the export border gate, causing difficulties in traffic management and assurance, as well as implementing the policy of focusing on solving problems. congested goods at the border gate.

According to the Management Board of Dong Dang-Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, currently, 4 border gates in the area are still actively operating customs clearance of import and export goods. Lang Son province continues to exchange and hold talks with the Chinese side to increase customs clearance capacity at border gates.

However, because the Chinese side continues to strictly implement Covid-19 prevention and control measures such as increasing testing, disinfecting goods and vehicles, delivery methods limit contact between the two sides; at the same time, when exporting Vietnamese agricultural products to China, 100% inspection must be carried out... so the clearance efficiency is still very low. On average, only about 90-100 vehicles are released/day.

Specifically, on average, at Huu Nghi border gate, 60-70 vehicles are exported/day, and at Tan Thanh border gate 30-40 vehicles/day. By February 21, the total number of trucks waiting for export at the border gate areas was 1,966; including 1,509 trucks carrying fresh fruit, accounting for nearly 80% of the total number of trucks waiting for export; About 400 vehicles carrying fresh fruit are parked at wharves and small yards around Lang Son city, Van Lang and Cao Loc districts.

With the clearance efficiency not increased and maintained as at present, in the absence of new fruit trucks from the country, to export the remaining fruit will need about 15-17 days.
