The Eurasian market is a large market consisting of 28 countries, stretching from Eastern Europe to Central Asia, with a population of 410 million people. Despite facing many difficulties due to the impact of the covid-19 pandemic, the two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the Eurasian region in the first 11 months of this year still grew strongly, with more than 10%. This is the traditional market of Vietnam in the past and is now a potential export market with a lot of room. However, the ministries and businesses of our country need to have a more appropriate approach to seize the opportunity to export to this market.
Some of Vietnam's key products are exported to the Eurasian market, such as seafood, fresh vegetables and fruits, processing electronic goods, electronic components, textiles, furniture, and footwear. In the context of the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic, these products of Vietnam are basically essential items with reasonable prices, serving the majority of consumers. For example, in the largest market in the region, the Russian Federation, Russian people increasingly love Vietnamese food.

Currently, in Moscow and major cities, there are about 900 shops and restaurants selling Vietnamese dishes such as pho, spring rolls, rice and fruits. Another advantage when exporting goods to the Russian market is that in this country there are many businessmen living and working, having experience and always looking for new directions to expand the market.
However, businesses and cooperatives must be able to produce products of good quality, invest in post-harvest preservation and processing technology, have clear origins, and be suitable for consumers' tastes. can only meet the needs of consumers.
Vietnam and Eurasian countries have established solid cooperation frameworks and institutions, which serve as the foundation for the development of bilateral cooperation, including two Free Trade Agreements, namely the Agreement with the Economic Union and the European Union. Eurasian Economy and Agreement with the European Union (EVFTA). This is the basis for Vietnamese enterprises and Eurasian businesses to cooperate in the fields of economy, trade and investment.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thuy, Commercial Counselor in the Czech Republic concurrently in Slovakia, said that the Czech Republic is one of the 10 largest automobile manufacturers and exporters in the world. Czech automobile technology and quality are all according to European standards, and at competitive prices, it is an opportunity to promote cooperation in the supporting industry and in the mechanical field, which has great potential. However, traveling and transporting goods between the two countries still face many difficulties.
“The problem of logistics as well as transportation is very painful recently. Recently, Bamboo Airways wants to open a direct flight to the Czech Republic. This is expected by the Czech Government as well as by businesses. However, for many reasons, especially the epidemic, the opening of direct flights has not yet been implemented. I propose the Government with the agencies and functional sectors to create favorable conditions for this airline to open direct flights. It is also proposed to the Czech Republic to create more favorable conditions on visa mechanisms as well as labor mechanisms to receive more Vietnamese workers, because without people traveling, it is impossible to open direct flights. Hong Thuy said.
Mr. Do Xuan Hoang, General Director of Mareven Food Central Company, a leading consumer food producer in Eastern Europe, said that at present, the modern distribution channel of goods in Eastern European countries is developing. very quickly replace the traditional distribution channel. The approach of enterprises to these two distribution systems is very different, if Vietnamese enterprises are not well prepared, it will be very difficult to bring goods into this modern distribution system.
Mr. Do Xuan Hoang shared, Vietnamese enterprises when entering the market for the first time should approach the distribution system with a smaller scale in the locality, after a while, after having a deep understanding of the market, there is a product line. stabilize, adjust the product as well as the appropriate price, then return to negotiate with the large distribution system.
“Whether we distribute directly or do outsourcing, we also need an on-site production facility, or at least a warehouse facility. With the requirements of the current new distribution systems, the exact factor of time and goods is very necessary. Meanwhile, if orders have a very long order period, 3-4 months to receive goods, they will often fall into the wrong contract and be fined, greatly affecting the relationship with these distribution systems. Mr. Do Xuan Hoang said.
Despite the difficult situation caused by the epidemic, in the first 11 months of 2021, the two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the Eurasian region still has an impressive growth rate of 12.7 billion USD. In which, exports reached 8.6 billion USD, up 10% over the same period last year. However, Vietnam's exports are still modest compared to the total import demand of about 1.345 billion USD of countries in this region.
In the coming time, the effective use of free trade agreements with the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union will be the driving force to further promote industrial trade cooperation between Vietnam and other countries. in Eurasia in general and countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia in particular.
Mr. Ta Hoang Linh, Director of the European-American Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said: “As the focal point for bilateral and multilateral cooperation activities, the Ministry of Industry and Trade continues to accompany same business. Through the mechanism of joint committees, intergovernmental committees, continue to support and remove difficulties, obstacles and barriers to establish favorable legal frameworks for trade and investment. Further strengthen trade promotion activities, connect, dialogue and exchange information with markets, localities and businesses.
In order to take advantage of incentives from Free Trade Agreements and continue to promote import and export growth, according to experts' analysis, businesses need to actively survey the market, participate in more specialized exhibitions. industry in the host country. One of the problems related to importing and exporting to this market is choosing effective logistics.
In the context of increasing costs of ocean transport and high cost of air transport, rail transport is becoming more and more attractive. With a much shorter transit time than sea freight, increasingly affordable costs as the volume of goods increases, stability and safety are high, transporting goods via the Asia-Europe railway will is one of the suitable options for import-export enterprises of Vietnam and Asia - Europe countries./.
