Export of agricultural products exceeded the plan 1 month before, the possibility of reaching 47 billion USD

On December 2, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in November was estimated at 4.2 billion USD, up 8.9% compared to November. 2020 and increased by 5.8% compared to October 2021. 

In 11 months, the export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products was estimated at nearly 43.5 billion USD, up 14.2% over the same period last year.

In which, the export of main agricultural products is estimated at over 19.3 billion USD, main forest products are about 14.3 billion USD, aquatic products are over 7.9 billion USD, livestock is estimated at 393 million USD, the input group is estimated at 393 million USD. production over 1.5 billion USD.

Many products and product groups with increased export value include coffee, rubber, rice, fruit and vegetable products, pepper, cashew nuts, cassava and cassava products, livestock products, wood products, and rattan products. , bamboo, carpet sedge, cinnamon… 

Asia is still the number one agricultural export market with 43.1% market share, followed by the Americas (29.6%), Europe (11.5%). 

Notably, in the past 11 months, the United States has been the largest importer of Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery products when the export value reached over 11.9 billion USD (accounting for 27.5%), the Chinese market ranked second. 2 with an export value of nearly $8.4 billion (accounting for 19.2% ), then to Japan and South Korea.

In the opposite direction, the import turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in 11 months is estimated at 39.2 billion USD, up 39% over the same period in 2020.

At the 6th National Farmers Forum on the morning of December 2, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that in 2021, despite the complicated COVID-19 epidemic, the agricultural sector's targets The industry has been and is coming to a relatively spectacular destination. 

For example, the food target set at 43 million tons has reached 41.2 million tons, vegetables and fruits have strived for 18.5 million tons, achieved and surpassed, 62 million tons of meat, 16 billion eggs, 1.2 million tons of food. Dairy products are completely achieved, the most severely affected aquatic products are near the finish line so far.

"The government assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to export 42 billion USD, surely the whole year export will reach 47 billion USD, exceeding 5 billion USD," emphasized Mr. Tien.
