To implement the plan to summarize the Resolution 26 of the Central Committee of the Party (X term) on agriculture, farmers and rural development (referred to as Resolution 26), the delegation of the Central Economic Committee led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc Head of the Central Economic Commission Nguyen Duy Hung as the head of the delegation, had just had a working trip on the results of the implementation of Resolution 26 with Hoa Binh and Son La provinces.

According to the report of Son La Provincial Party Committee, the implementation of Resolution 26, the province has achieved very important results. From a mountainous locality, Son La has become a center specializing in fruit cultivation and fruit export of the North.

In addition to export products (tea, maize seeds, bananas...) associated with traditional markets, in recent years, there have been more agricultural products that meet the conditions for participation in export such as longan, mango, lemon. climbing, honey, tapioca starch, coffee, sugar...

Notably, the province has implemented the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program. Up to now, the province has 83 products.

Visiting and surveying a number of high economic efficiency agricultural models typical of fruit trees in Mai Son district, the mission assessed Mai Son district as a typical example in agricultural economic restructuring of Son province. La, has nearly 11,000 hectares of specialized fruit growing area. The district has focused on developing cooperatives and unions of cooperatives associated with the product consumption chain.

Up to now, Mai Son has 140 cooperatives, including 120 cooperatives operating in the field of agriculture and agricultural services with over 6,300 members. The average revenue of cooperatives is from 2-2.5 billion VND/year.

For Hoa Binh,  through working with the Standing Provincial Party Committee, the implementation of Resolution 26 of Hoa Binh has achieved important results. The province has adjusted and established more than 19 new master plans to serve the restructuring of the agricultural sector in the direction of increasing added value, sustainable development, associated with new rural construction. Hoa Binh province is one of the first three provinces and cities in the country to have built and operated the product origin traceability portal.

Visiting and surveying a number of economic models in Cao Phong district, the mission recognized the successes from the model of specializing in orange trees. The district has encouraged orange cultivation according to VietGAP process, promoting production towards "green - clean - safe". 3T FARM Cooperative was born with the goal of producing Cao Phong oranges according to the "3 Goods" standards: good soil, good seed, good heart, creating the brand name of Cao Phong oranges in the market.

The two provinces of Hoa Binh and Son La also suggested that in the program on agricultural development, farmers and rural areas should have a specific mechanism for mountainous rural areas, and have stronger policies to encourage and support agricultural activities. investment in agricultural development, rural mountainous areas, etc.

Concluding at the meeting, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission Nguyen Duy Hung highly appreciated  Hoa Binh and Son La provinces for achieving very important results  in the implementation of Resolution 26.

However, Mr. Hung suggested that Son La province should continue to consider the construction of a new countryside, focusing on regular and continuous direction. In agricultural production, priority should be given to policies on production support, loans, transfer of science and technology, vocational training, job creation, raising people's knowledge, expertise and farming techniques. produce for farmers, especially young workers in rural areas…

For Hoa Binh, Mr. Hung said that it is necessary to pay attention to overcome some limitations in the implementation of restructuring the agricultural sector, linking production along the value chain, applying science and technology, and high technology. in production, preservation and processing to improve product quality and value.
