Notably, with the notice GB 2763-2021 about changing the residue level, China stipulates 10,092 maximum residue limits with 564 types of food protection drugs, in the list of 376 foods. At the same time, China also set 1,742 residue limits for 87 pesticides that have not been registered for use in China.
"Your country is increasing regulations, so businesses must pay attention to food and agricultural product safety when exporting to the Chinese market," Nam emphasized.

With Order 248, registration is only required for businesses exporting food to China.
With Order 249, businesses are responsible for food safety even if the product has been exported to China. Therefore, he noted that businesses choose reliable and guaranteed partners to help keep records for at least 6 months, in addition to factors such as warehousing and transportation.
